I'm very happy with the purchase of this stock for my S400 rifle. The proportions are very good in terms of overall lenght and length of pull (for reference I'm 6ft tall). The overall length is close to the standard S400 stock but the handle position is more forward. The fit and finish is very good. The handle is comfortable but perhaps a little bit thick for my preference but still very good. In my opinion these stock are fantastic value for money. Ordered a forest camo ft design stock on Sunday and received it the following Saturday 🤷 incredible fast shipping , and then I opened my package OM f——- G !! What a beautiful piece of art work it is, so happy as Larry I go to my club with my newly modified TX and wow what a difference the pistol grip fits perfectly the adjustable cheek pad and butt just made it even better. This is my third CRAFTSMAN VIT stock. As with the other two the stock is perfection and fits the barreled action without any issue at all. The hamster is well done with well made aluminum fittings. The butt plate assembly however was/is a problem. The hardware is fine, steel metric hardware. The black parts made from plastic however are 3D printed parts and are fragile. When I put the butt of the rifle on my leg to cock the action,HW97, the bottom two plastic parts broke loose at the hinge. The fractures occurred at the printing lines. I was able to use super glue to fix the parts and so far they have held up ok. At this price point I would much rather pay a bit extra for an aluminum field target butt plate instead of the 3D printed plastic plate. As I said earlier though the stock is superb in fit, finish and application.

Regarding the FT butt assembly — we want to note that we haven’t had issues with this supplier before, but considering the risks, we decided to move away from these 3D-printed components, even if this was an isolated case. Workmanship is simply superb. You absolutely get what you pay for. Both stocks have arrived well protected by careful packaging. Payment no longer requires wire transfer, you can pay via card. First the quality of the design visually and the fit and finish of the woodwork are OUTSTANDING. I'm not sure where the company got its stock proportions from, but a common standard for the length of pull on a rifle stock is 13.5 inches, my FT stock as supplied measures 11.5 inches and when shouldering it I feel like its a stock meant for much smaller people. I did add nearly 2 inches with spacers and the length of pull is MUCH better, however now the cheek rest is too far forward. I expressed this to the company and was told "One stock can't fit all people". Using industry standards that have MANY years behind them for standard proportions means the product will be generally comfortable for MOST people, and small adjustments can and will be made. 2 inches seems excessive to me. It is a very pretty piece of wood, just not very comfortable as delivered. I will need to design and 3D print an extension to bring the cheek riser back some for me to consider this a workable solution. Not what I expected for the money if I'm honest. I also would have expected a hamster rail in the forearm for a product sold as "FT" ready. I guess I'll need to add that myself as well. Thank you for your detailed feedback. The quality and finish of the stock are exactly as designed, and the LOP (length of pull) matches the factory standard as stated in the product description. If you had specific fit requirements, these should have been indicated at the time of ordering and the description carefully reviewed.
The cheek rest and stock proportions follow standard FT dimensions, which are comfortable for most shooters. Any additional adjustments, such as adding spacers or modifying the cheek riser, are considered custom modifications and were not included.
Please also note that this model does not come with a UIT/hamster rail, as clearly mentioned in the product description.
